Plumbing and health – how do they relate?

Odd, right? You might think “Sorry, but that is the job of the doctors in the hospitals.” As it turns out, they are not the only ones who do what they do to promote health. A plumber has contributed to the society’s overall wellbeing and health for far too long and has remained as the unsung hero since inception.

Plumbing was exclusively responsible for the modern-day water supply network, oil supply network and the removal of toxic and non-toxic waste materials. It is a skill that has been promoted throughout the ages and continues to be done so even today. Major countries such as the US, Canada, UK, and Australia are promoting and valuing every plumber as it is the need of the day. The population continues to grow and so does the demand for water supply and drainage.

So, what exactly happens if plumbing just ceases to exist? Initially, you might find nothing has changed at all. It will take some time before you might realize something is terribly off. Your neighborhood might start getting various complaints of clogged bathrooms, pipes and even the main drain lines. They will, by the passage of time, erode and will lose their function completely hence causing large-scale drainage failure. The health risks will follow next causing people to wear masks to avoid ghastly, acrid smells throughout. Bacteria and other airborne organisms will fly and attack any vulnerable targets leading to a catastrophic outbreak of fatal diseases.

Scary perspective, isn’t it? Well, the good news is that sanity prevails, thanks to the plumbing experts who dedicate their lives to serve humanity without asking for much in return. They are the true unsung heroes of the day and will continue to be that as long as humanity exists.
